Sooner Spring Game Already Here
This may be hard to believe for some of you, but the Spring Game is less than two weeks away. This also means that your skiing days are also dwindling as summer stares us down. Needing a little gridiron fix until pre-season NFL??? Good news! We are continuing the tradition of showing the game at our home away from home, Stoney’s. Here are more details:

DATE – Saturday, April 8 at 12:00 pm MST (1pm CST)
PLACE – STONEY’S (1111 Lincoln, Denver CO 80203)

We would love to see your smiling faces as we cheer for the blue jerseys and no injuries!

Put Some Boomer-Q On Your Plate! Boomer Q has Arrived in Colorado
We all know that Colorado’s list of options for BBQ has left us all feeling well…. a little disappointed. My fellow Sooner friends and BBQ lovers, your spirits are about to be lifted. Billy Sims BBQ is opening its first location in Colorado SATURDAY APRIL 8th (this is one week change to the original announced date of April 1st) in Colorado Springs. Billy, himself, is scheduled to appear at the opening of the restaurant to sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 1. The address is 3330 Austin Bluffs Parkway, which is west of Austin Bluffs and Academy Boulevard. Franchisees Jeff and Kayla Hall look forward to opening their doors to not just Sooner fans, but fans of BBQ as well.

If you cannot make it out to The Springs for this opening, the second location will be opening in Edgewater in May. Stay tuned for details. Mmmmm, I can smell the ribs now!

OU Club of CO Night Out with the Nuggets (Thunder)

Time is running out of the chance to purchase tickets to see not one, but two playoff bound NBA teams. Whether you are triple-double watching Westbrook fan or a fanimal of the Manimal, this is a game you do not want to miss. Tickets are $49 a piece, which include a credit towards a food/beverage purchase. People, these are lower level tickets! Pretty soon we will be wishing for our fall and winter sports once summer hits. Our friends form OSU and TU have also been invited to share in the fun.

Sooner Sunrise Networking Breakfast May 2017

How many times have you heard “it’s about who you know” with regards to your professional life? With one of the most populated parts of the US for Sooner alumni and fans, we need to take our networking to a Rocky Mountain High level. We are looking to host our inaugural Sooners@Sunrise networking breakfast in May! We have heard the call for quite sometime for more non-football related events. Here is your chance! Be on the lookout for more details.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE: SPECIAL SOONER SHOUT OUT to those that have said yes to volunteering to serve on the 2017 Scholarship Committee. We have a great group led by Haley Wallace. It is not too late to help, email us at ouclubofco@gmail.com to request more information or to volunteer to pick those scholarship winners.

Colorado Student Recruitment Night:  Speaking of those scholarship winners, there were almost 70 attendees at the alumni Meet & Greet earlier this month. It was great to see so many potential future Sooners, class of 2021, and their parents! Thanks to Stoney’s for hosting us for the second year in a row.  The students and the their parents got to ask questions and learn about the University of Oklahoma, on topics like when they have paperwork, applications, rush, parking, places to eat, football tickets, you name it.
