March Madness Newsletter!

It’s Bracket Time for Oklahoma
It is time for one of the best months for sports! March Madness, NBA, NHL, College Baseball, College Softball, pre-season MLB….just pick your favorite sports channel and sit back and relax. And for those that take a little vacation time (yes…your boss knows you are not sick) to fill out your brackets, your time has arrived! While the men’s and women’s basketball teams have their eyes on the final four, we have our eyes on Stoney’s as your March Madness HQ. If you have not made plans to support these teams, come on down to 1111 Lincoln for beer specials, great food, and lots of fun. OU takes on WVU tonight (March 11) at 7pm MST on ESPN2.

If the Sooners advance to the Big XII championship game Saturday, expect a big watch party to cheer on the men’s team. We will also be hosting watch parties for all the big dance as well.  This is looking to be a very special year for the OU Men’s team, led by Buddy Heild, and a very deep run, possibly even to the final four is out there.  Can our team pull some magic out of air?  We think so!! While club officers may not be at all the games, you are always in good hands with the staff at Stoney’s!

Check the local listings (or our social media) for updates and game times!

More than a beer special…
While you die-hard sports fans get ready for your summer sabbatical, the OU Club of Colorado officers are working on events that are not necessarily centered around sports. (Cue the gasping sounds) We know that more and more Sooners are calling Colorado home each year. While this organization has always been committed to help you build your personal network, we are taking on the commitment to help you build your professional network here in the centennial state as well. Stayed tuned for some very exciting business and networking events that are aimed at helping all members of the Sooner family come together professionally!!

I hope you all have a fantastic March! See you soon….

Brent Thompson – OU Club of Colorado President
