Ever wonder where OU could end up going to a bowl this year? This year (2014) is the new year of new Big 12 Conference bowl contracts and new bowl tie-ins. Some have moved up in the world, some new relationships have formed. Here’s the list of the current Big 12 Bowls in order:
1 Sugar Bowl or College Football Playoff Rotation Bowl if Sugar is a Playoff Game
2 Alamo Bowl, San Antonio, TX
3 Russell Athletic Bowl, Orlando Fl
4 Texas Bowl, Houston, TX
5 Liberty Bowl, Memphis, TN
6 Cactus Bowl, Phoenix, AZ
7 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl, Fort Worth, TX (back-up)
or 7 Heart of Dallas Bowl, Dallas, TX (odd years altering with Big 10 who has even years)
That’s your bowl line-up. If OU wins out, right now, we have a good chance to be an “at large” selection in a Bowl Rotation New Year’s day bowl.
